Scena Performance presents classic endurance races, ultramarathons, triathlons, community runs, and more. Our aim is to take you someplace new, present you with a unique challenge and celebrate you with fun, food, and friends.
In 2018, we’re going to be back in Calistoga for Napa Valley 50k, over to Anderson Valley for the Ancient Redwood Running Festival, back to Napa for Angwin to Angwish. In the Summer, we’ll have the second running of the Sonoma Women’s Tri (formerly Barb’s Tri) the first in what we hope will be a series of women-focused events led by Olympic coach, Allison Ray (Canada, London 2012). Then we’ll bring you home to the East Bay for Skyline 50k and Bay Ridge Endurance Runs.
By the time we all get to the Healdsburg Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, we’ll be BEAT!
In 2017, we created the Scena Ambassadors. The aim is to identify people we think represent the best things about running. Our Ambassadors are charged to go out there and make our community more than the sum of its parts, which they were doing anyways. They have great stories, much bigger than just the running they do.
We proudly present our Scena Ambassadors for 2017:
As Tom Waits once said, “they all come from good families. But somewhere along the way something happened that just ain’t right.”
The Chapon Award
Each year in December, we present The Christine Chapon Award, otherwise known as The Frenchie. This award is meant to acknowledge athletes from our community who have distinguished themselves both through great running and through service to the broader community.
In 2018, we proudly awarded The Frenchie to Penny MacPhail for all of she has done as a runner, for her service to our running community through Run 365 and for her commitment to fighting global hunger by raising money and awareness for OXFAM.
