After a lot of anxiety about the smoke throughout the area in the weeks before, the Healdsburg Turkey Trot actually ran in the rain. 1,600 people signed up in this our 4th running of the race. Congratulations to our Champions Reecey Beyers of Santa Rosa and Sarah Piampiano of San Rafael in the adult divisions and Jack Blanchfield of Towson, Maryland and Elsa Nolen of Healdsburg (our fair city!) in the Youth Division (13 and under.)

Once again we were graced by some extraordinary partners, led by Healdsburg Running Company, our founding partner and Costeaux French Bakery. We also partner closely with Rotary Club of Healdsburg Sunrise. Skip and Holly Brand, Will Seppi, and Susanne and Andy Esquivel have been with us from the very beginning and without them, nothing would happen.

Each year, this event raises money for a different cause with our main recipient being the Drew Esquivel Scholarship, which helps Healdsburg-area student/athletes achieve their dream of going to college. Our ‘sponsors’ are actually donors to this cause and 100% of the sponsor dollars go to it. With that in mind and huge thank you both from the race and from the City of Healdsburg to Charlie Palmers Pigs & Pinot, Big John’s Market, and Vanguard Properties. There was a donation also made in the name of the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. Additional donors include: Garret Ace Hardware, Bellwether Farms, Carreras Auto Body, Surface Art, Healdsburg Lumber, Marin-Sonoma Produce, Silveira Auto, Sports Basement, and Summit State Bank.

Thank you all! Together we raised almost $25,000 for our students this year.
